Know your rights

In today’s world, young people’s rights are not a priority and come well down the list. We are used as cheap and disposable labour, where profits can be easily amassed . . . (See more)

Ireland has unfinished business!

We as young people need to understand the true nature and historical context of 1916 if Ireland is to continue its long struggle to freedom. We need to understand that the rising was not an isolated event, or a blood sacrifice . . . (See more)

Caleb McCarry to Hell!

Ireland recently had the pleasure of a visit from the Bush regime’s proposed next “Governor General” of Cuba. This known director of terrorism, responsible for countless deaths across Latin America, should have been arrested on stepping foot on this island. Instead, and in line with this state’s support for US terrorism, they welcomed him, met him and ultimately escorted him from our shores.

On a meeting tour of Europe to coordinate a unified imperialist approach to “the Cuban problem” McCarry was invited by the Politics Department in UCD to speak. On finding this out, comrades from the CYM, CPI, Éirígí, Labour Youth and more in no uncertain terms told McCarry where to go, and that was not to Cuba! McCarry was escorted away by members of the honourable Garda Síochána.
